The Training Camp for the MUN Faculty Advisors held in 2017
On 17-20 March, the Second Training Camp for the MUN Faculty Advisors, sponsored by the Australian Human Rights Commission, was held in Zhejiang University. More than 80 teachers and students from 52 Unversities attended the training camp.
During the camp, Ms. Jiang Qin, Counselor from the Department of International Organizations & Conferences of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, talked about the Chinese’s Multilateral Diplomacy. Mr. Liu Xinsheng, Former Ambassador to Tanzania and Cyprus, made a presentation on the Theory and Practice of
International Human Rights Protection in the United Nations. Associate Professor Mr. He Yin from China Peacekeeping Police Training Center talked about International Politics in UN Peacekeeping Operations. Ms. Wang Jiangli, professor from the School of Public Administration of Zhejiang University made a presentation on Analysis on China’s Share of UN Budget in History. Mr. Robert Parua, UNESCO ProgrammeSpecialists for Education, gave a speech on UN SDGs Implementation and UNSCO Programmes in China.Mr. Huang He, Deputy Director General of UNA-China shared his ideas and advice on MUN. In addition, the Joint Meeting for MUN Faculty Advisors held the third plenary session during the training. The current Chair, Madam Xiao Su, Dean of the School of International Relationship of Sichuan International Studies University reported the work of the Joint Meeting over the past year. Then all delegates unanimously elected Professor Li Shuanjiu, Deputy Dean of the Postgraduate School of Sichuan University the next Chair.
