On April 7 to April 9, The First Sino-Australian College Model UN Faculty Advisors Training Seminar was held in Guizhou University. About 120 teachers from 47 universities attended the seminar.
Both President Amb. LU Shumin and Vice-President Mr. LIU Zhixian of the UNA-China attended the opening ceremony, and met with School Inspector of Education Department of Guizhou Province Mr. YANG Yong, Party Secretary Mr. CHEN Jian, Vice-President SONG Bao’an and Deputy Party Secretary YANG Wei of Guizhou University.

In this regard, the MUN Society needs particular assistance from faculty advisors. Teachers are constructors of the society, leaders of academic training, and on-spot instructors. He believed that the seminar would yield great results with joint efforts from all parties and lead the MUN activities to a brighter future.
Vice-President LIU lectured on the current situation of Model UN in China and what the UNA-China have done to promote this activity, and Mr. YAN Liang, Director of Secretariat of the UNA-China, talked about the challenges that a faculty advisor faces, and how to be a good advisor. Teachers of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Sichuan International Studies University and National University of Defense and Technology were invited to share their experiences of society building, academic training and the integration of Model UN with daily teaching.
