From August 23 to 27, the 11th China-Japan-ROK Youth Forum was successfully held in Beijing. 60 students from universities of China, Japan and the ROK participated in the Youth Forum. They emphasized that the Forum provides a platform for exchange and dialogue among the youth of the three countries, and expected them to seek common ground while reserving differences, and contribute wisdom and solutions to addressing global challenges.

The Youth Forum discussed five topics: “Marine Environmental Protection”, “Digital Technology”, “Population Aging”, “Role of Youth in Global Governance” and “Sustainable Development”. The youth of the three countries made efforts to seek common ground and enhance mutual understanding. During the cultural activities, the youth performed programs, and visited the China Traditional Culture Museum, which deepened their understanding of each other’s cultures and improved mutual cognition.

The China-Japan-ROK Youth Forum is a parallel event of the Trilateral Presidents’ Meeting of UNA-China, UNA-Japan and UNA-ROK, aiming to promote communications and exchanges among young students of the three countries, and has been successfully held in turn for ten times among the three UNAs since 2010 on a yearly basis. Next year, the event will be hosted by UNA-ROK.
