On 30 and 31 October, Ambassador Chen Jian, President of U.N. Association of China, Former Chinese Ambassador to Japan and Former Under Secretary General of the United Nations gave speeches in Hong Kong, which are part of the Talking Diplomacy series events organized by the Commissioner's Office.

Ambassador Chen gave a speech on China's Policies and its Neighbors at the Foreign Correspondents' Club, analyzing the history and current status of China's land and maritime territorial disputes with its neighbors as well as China's policy options. He took questions from the journalists during the Q & A session.

Ambassador Chen was interviewed by the Chinausfocus, the website of China-US Exchange Foundation. He also gave a speech at the Chinese Foundation Secondary School, talking about evolution and future of China's relations with the United Nations.
