Roundtable on the Post-2015 International Development Agenda
23 July 2013 - The Roundtable on the Post-2015 International Development Agenda, co-hosted by the United Nations Association (UNA-China) and the World Bank Beijing Office, was held in Beijing. The meeting was co-chaired by Ms. Zhang Xiaoan, Vice President & Director-General of the UNA-China and Mr. Klaus Rohland, Country Director of the World Bank Beijing Office. 9 keynote speeches were heard at the meeting on the topics including financing for the Post-2015 international development, national consultation on Post-2015 international development agenda and challenges in financing, poverty-reduction, health, environment, education, gender equality, children and international development cooperation. The keynote speakers were Mr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, Special Envoy for the President of the World Bank, Ms. Liu Hua, Deputy Director-General of the UNA-China, Mr. Wang Xiaolin, Division Director of China International Poverty-reduction Center, Mr. Ren Minghu, Director of the International Department of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, Mr. Zhang Haibin, Director of the UN Research Center of Beijing University, Ms. Zheng Xinrong, Professor of the Beijing Normal University, Ms. Song Wenyan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Liaison of the All-China Women's Federation, Ms. Wang Le, Deputy Director of the Save the Children in China and Mr. Sheng Sixin, Academic Secretary of the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission. Over 30 representatives from the World Bank, the UN System in China, government agencies, the academia and NGOs both at home and abroad attended the meeting.
